Water Heater Repair and Plumbing Services
When a water heater needs to be repaired sometimes you know about it right away, think cold shower, or a leak has developed and you may not catch it right away, but eventually you find water on the floor around the heater. There are very few parts to go bad on a water heater, which makes them very reliable, and until you experience that cold shower, most people don’t give this work horse of a household appliance a second thought. The average life expectancy of a water heater is about 10 to 15 years old, so if an issue develops, and your water heater is older, you would need to consider your options in regards to a potential plumbing repair or just replacing it with a new water heater installation.
Water Leak Repair Services
Water leaks can happen in your home at anytime, as the pipes which make up the distribution system are always under pressure. These pipes are sometimes hidden in the walls behind drywall, or exposed in a ceiling, and if a leak develops it can range from a minor inconvenience to a catastrophic event. Horizon plumbers have had clients at both ends of the spectrum and in between. Apart from water leaking into a ceiling and causing damage, there is also the risk of mold, so a water leak once noticed should be dealt with as soon as possible to prevent what could be a minor repair, turn into a disastrous one.
Look for signs of calcification (white crusty formations at a pipe joint), (you will also notice a green coloration at joints that have not been properly cleaned after they were installed, this is usually not a concern, and is caused by a reaction with the copper metal and the residue left after heating the pipe.
If you need a plumber to handle any of these and other issues around the house you can be assured that Horizon Services has the experience and expertise to help.
