HVAC, Plumbing & Garage Door Services for Evergreen, CO Homes
Our locally owned and operated company provides many services specifically tailored to the unique needs of Evergreen homeowners. From our professional HVAC services to new garage doors, we provide reliable home services you can trust. Whether you return from a hiking trip at Evergreen Mountain to a major plumbing leak or your air conditioner stops working, we strive to provide quality home services designed to support safety, comfort, and efficiency.
Heating Solutions Built for Evergreen’s Mountain Climate
Evergreen’s alpine environment presents several challenges for home heating systems, largely because our high altitude may force your system to work harder. Whether you need boiler repairs, furnace repairs, or other heating services, count on us to keep your home warm when you need it most. Our team is certified and highly skilled in installing new systems, performing heat pump, boiler, and furnace tune-ups, and providing heating repairs when outdoor temperatures drop.
As an experienced HVAC contractor in Evergreen, we provide custom-tailored heating solutions built for our mountain climate. From electric baseboard heaters to gas furnaces, we’re here to make sure you get the right home heating system for your family. If your furnace starts making loud noises, your energy bills suddenly skyrocket, or your pilot light turns yellow instead of blue, contact us for professional furnace repair or replacement.
Furnace Repair, Installation, and Maintenance for Reliable Winter Comfort
The certified team at Horizon Services diagnoses and repairs all furnace issues and addresses serious safety concerns like potential carbon monoxide leaks. If you need a new furnace installation, we install many makes and models of heating equipment, including Trane, Lennox, American Standard, Carrier, York, Rheem, Ruud, Goodman, and more. Schedule routine furnace maintenance with us to improve efficiency and keep things running smoothly, including our easy-to-change air filters designed to support maximum airflow in our mountainous, dry, and dusty conditions.
Maintenance tasks like gas furnace calibration and testing are important for homes at higher altitudes to check and adjust combustion efficiency and carbon monoxide levels. Unadjusted gas burners at high altitude may run a rich fuel mixture, increasing the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. We also provide professional boiler installation, repair, and maintenance for Evergreen homes to ensure consistent heating in our cold winter climate.
AC Repair and Cooling Solutions for Warmer Colorado Days
Horizon Services’ background-checked, uniformed, NATE-certified technicians provide HVAC repairs for all types of home air conditioning systems. We provide a full range of AC repair services and safely handle and dispose of refrigerant in compliance with EPA requirements. If you experience an issue with your air conditioner, contact us to schedule professional air conditioning repair that lasts.
Air Conditioning Installation and Seasonal Maintenance
Although summer temperatures in Evergreen aren’t as high as Colorado’s lower-elevation areas, many homeowners still want air conditioning to keep their space cool when the sun is at its peak. We provide energy-efficient AC installations, including eco-friendly ductless mini-split systems, heat pumps, and more. We also provide trusted AC maintenance services suited for Evergreen’s high-altitude homes.
HVAC Maintenance for Evergreen’s Changing Weather Conditions
Here’s how our HVAC maintenance services help your system adapt to Evergreen’s changing weather conditions, prolong system lifespan, and support optimum performance:
- Routine condenser coil cleaning removes dust, pollen, and debris to maximize heat exchange in Evergreen’s thinner air.
- Checking refrigerant levels at high elevations ensures the system is properly charged and calibrated.
- A comprehensive ductwork inspection and sealing prevent cold air leaks that can waste energy and affect airflow.
- A routine AC tune-up that includes lubricating moving parts and testing the blower motor helps reduce wear and tear common in higher-elevation homes.
Professional Plumbing Services for Mountain Homes
Horizon’s professional plumbing services include pipe repair and replacement to prevent leaks and damage caused by excess corrosion. Our sump pump repair and installation services help to protect your Evergreen home from unexpected flooding and costly water damage. We also install water softeners to remove mineral buildup from calcium and magnesium in hard water that affects plumbing and water heater performance.
Protect Your Evergreen Home From Frozen and Damaged Pipes
Follow these tips to protect your Evergreen home from frozen or damaged pipes that can lead to costly plumbing repairs:
- Keep your home at least 55°F, even when you’re not home or traveling.
- Open the cabinets under sinks in your kitchen and bathrooms to allow warm air to circulate around your pipes when temperatures dip.
- When temperatures drop to sub-zero or single digits, let your faucets drip a slow, steady trickle of hot and cold water to keep water moving through the pipes.
- Insulate exposed pipes in areas like the garage, crawl space, or basement to protect them from freezing and bursting.
Water Heater Repair and Installation for Dependable Hot Water
Our plumbers in Evergreen also provide reliable water heater repair and installation services. Look for these signs that may indicate you need repairs or a new water heater installation:
- Lukewarm water may be caused by a broken thermostat, a bad heating element, or a bad dip tube that can be repaired.
- Strange popping, banging, or rumbling noises are typically caused by excess sediment at the bottom of the tank, usually remedied with a routine flush and refill.
- Water leaks near the bottom of the unit could indicate the tank is cracked or split and needs replacement.
- Water heaters over 10 years old may need replacement to prevent equipment failure or potential flooding.
Garage Door Repair and Maintenance in Evergreen
Horizon provides professional maintenance, garage door repair, and spring replacement services for Evergreen homeowners. If your springs are worn out, they can pose a serious risk to your vehicle and your family’s safety. Contact us for repairs or maintenance if your door starts making loud, banging noises, you see visible gaps in the coils, the door is shaky or lopsided, or it’s suddenly heavy and won’t lift at all.
When to Repair vs. Replace Aging Home Comfort Equipment
You may wonder whether a repair or replacement is right for your aging home comfort equipment. If you experience frequent breakdowns or if your HVAC system is reaching the 10-to-15-year mark, a replacement may be the best option. If repairs cost 50% or more of a new unit, we recommend a full replacement to maximize long-term savings on both money and energy.
